Created a Frida Kahlo Tableau for Butcher Shop, 2018.

  • The Butcher Shop uses cardboard, tape, house paint and found items for their outdoor performances.

  • I painted the backdrop, curtains, deer and skeleton. I built a table that also had two men on each side that shook at one point in the shoot.

Painting is my background. I loved bringing this out for my backdrops and this year for my entire tableau.

The Performance.

The Butcher Shop was a collection of performances created by a creative community in Chico, CA. At the end of the summer, they decide on an idea, create the performance and then perform it over Labor Day Weekend.

The sets are put together with sets made from cardboard, old housepaint and found or created objects.
